NOTES chapter 7 part 1 note 8 Marc H. Morial is the son of Ernest N. "Dutch" Morial, 1929-1989, the first African-American mayor of New Orleans, 1978-1986. Dutch Morial's administration was scarred with the 1984 Louisiana World Exposition that sent many contractors into bankruptcy, among them Landis, the same contractor involved in the bankrupt land-based casino.
